About Me

I am attuned to seek patterns and trends around me:  the reflections of clouds on a still lake, the twisted roots of driftwood on the shore, the angles of girders on an underpass, the ripples of water in a fountain.

I seek to capture with my lens the magic and wonder of my surroundings in urban and wild settings, and all the places in-between.

I am largely self-trained  I currently shoot with a Nikon D5100 using a Tamaron 18-200 lens.

Many of my images are from canoe trips in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) of Northern Minnesota, or from hiking along Minnesota's north shore of Lake Superior. However, Seattle, WA, Portland, OR and places around Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN are also included here. I will be adding more locations as this site expands.

I am excited to share my unique perspective with you. I hope you enjoy what you see.
